Ensemble
Message from our Founder
I thank you for your support. This production has been one of love and necessity.
Our young artist have had to fight for access to their theatre arts program. They have had to learn how to advocate for that which should be a given.
I thought to myself, why keep fighting? Youth sharing their narratives, exploring art, and working to better their community is not something anyone should be opposed to.
So, we are done fighting for what should already be theirs. They deserve unhindered access to quality and equitable creative learning spaces that validate who they are.
Their energy, love, and talents are better spent on actually doing the thing. And so this Ensemble was born in order to help create the spaces they want to exists in. Here, they have the freedom to devise works that inspire change, elevate stories from within our community, and help make our world a much more just place to live.
Resonant: Student Voices Anthology is one of many productions to come. Generation Z has so much to share with the world. We must pause and listen.
You being here this evening completes the circle. As a community member, you are the last piece of our ensemble. We hope you will remain a member of this troupe by joining us for future productions. Your continued support is so necessary and appreciated.
In service & solidarity,
Estella Owoimaha-Church

Workshop Series
The young, scholar-artist of Education Ensemble will host a dynamic workshop session on building inclusive, communal and creative spaces, as well as train participants in verbatim style theatre as a form of direct-action. This is an interactive working session that will provide participants with insight on to youths’ concerns and passions. Participants will also walk away with a working knowledge of devising verbatim performance pieces in order to explore and address community issues. Participants will end the session by performing some of their creations. If you are looking for ways in which your art might be in direct service of our community, then this is the workshop for you.
